Job Details – Ship Repair Accounts Clerk

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Ship Repair Sales Invoice Clerk who will be responsible for overseeing and updating daily accounts for ship repair contracts.

Overall purpose of the role will be to manage all aspects of the project from receipt of the project file from the estimating department through to final agreement of all issues both with the customer and the suppliers of materials and sub contract services. To work with the purchasing department to ensure best value for material and sub contract services for both the project and the company and to monitor, maintain and report the financial achievement of the project to the company in accordance with the company’s procedure and individual Ship Owners requirements including assisting with final negotiations and settlement. Day to day duties will include: -

  • Liaising with company personnel, Classification and Owners representatives to overcome any problems in relation with all commercial aspects of a contract.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers in preparation of ship repair sales invoices.
  • Produce any commercial statistics required by company directors.
  • Comply with all company policies, codes of practice for health and safety, environmental control, standing orders and training.
  • Support the company’s Quality Policy and Systems by undertaking quality responsibilities in accordance with Quality Document Requirements or as directed by the Quality Executive or Quality Manager.
  • When required produce quotations in accordance with the company’s tendering procedure and individual Ship Owners requirements including visiting vessels for inspection when required.
  • When required negotiate quotations.
