UK Docks offer a number of services organised from their associate companies nationwide:
Dry Docks & Repair Berths
Dry Dock
- 115m x 16.5m x 5m Draft (inside breadth 20.6m)
- Thruster pit for drop down/swing down thrusters.
Dockside utilities include: electricity, compressed air, fresh and salt water services and craneage up to 30 tonnes.
Wet Berth Facilities (Fully Serviced)
- 150m x 8m MHWS (non-tidal)
- 220m x 7.17m above LAT (tidal)
- 323m x 8.8m LAT (tidal)
Cranaege up to 1000 tonnes

Specialist Small Boat Repair Facilities
Re-fit and repairs are carried out on a wide variety of commercial craft with previous and current customers including the Ministry of Defence, Nexus, Local Authorities and Port Authorities.
Tyne Slipway Engineering Company Ltd design, build and outfit vessels to meet the customer requirements, as well as offering after sales service if required.
Our facility is approximately 1,800 square metres and is serviced by two inside slipway cradles and one outside cradle, slipping vessels up to 250 tonnes and 30 metres in length, supported by fabrication, joinery and machine shop services in addition to vessel repairs, we also carry out commercial engineering and fabrication contracts.
Our facility has the added benefits of:
- Easy access to the Solent and English Channel
- No restriction on mast height
- 90 metres of serviced waiting pontoons
- Deep water access with 5 metres chart depth
- Dock size is 30 metre long and 8.5 metre wide
- Travel hoist capable of lifting 180 ton vessels
- Excellent transport links to London and the Continent
- 35 ton mobile crane on site
- Alto boat mover is capable of moving boats of up to 45 tons

Engineering & Fabrication
In house design and advanced manufacturing technology has enabled UK Docks to meet special product requirements. Working with stainless steel, aluminium, steel and non ferrous metals, requires a certain knowledge, one which our dedicated fabricators and engineering machinists know only too well.
From raw materials to plasma cuttings, CNC machining, welding, grinding and finishing.
Facilities
3000 square metres of covered workshops offering:
- Engine and machinery repairs.
- Light and heavy machining.
- Steel preparation and fabrication.
- Pipework manufacture and installation.
- Electrical repairs.
- Shot blasting and painting.
Approvals
Our work is of the highest quality and is accredited to ISO 9001: 2008 quality standard. Welding can be carried out to ASME 9 standards.
